A young space superfan quickly went viral on social media after his adorable response to the launch of Nasa’s Artemis II was described as “straight fire.”
The boy, equipped with a GoPro camera mounted on his Nasa baseball cap, travelled to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida specifically to witness the first human-crewed blastoff to the Moon in over 50 years.
A CNN reporter asked him: “Why do you want to be here? Why do you love space? Why do you love being part of history?”
“We’re going back to the frickin’ Moon, that’s why!” he replied excitedly.
The child’s TV appearance even earned him a bundle of “Nasa gear,” courtesy of Nasa Administrator Jared Isaacman, who responded to a repost of the interview on X, which currently has nearly 750,000 views.
