Young motorcyclist dies in horror crash with pedestrian and car in Clydebank

A young motorcyclist has died in a crash with a pedestrian and a car in Clydebank.

Police were called to Mountblow Road in the Dalmuir area of the town at around 4.05pm this afternoon.

The 23-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pedestrian and driver of the car involved were both uninjured.

Pictures from the scene show a number of police vehicles behind a cordon on the street.

Police have moved swiftly to close the road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.05pm to a report of a serious crash involving a pedestrian, motorbike and a car in Mountblow Road, Clydebank, on Tuesday, 28 January.

“Emergency services attended but despite their best efforts, the motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service. The pedestrian and driver of the car were checked by ambulance personnel but were uninjured.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. Police officers are appealing to anyone saw anything, or who may have dash-cam footage, to call 101, quoting incident 2234 of 28 January.”
