Police are investigating how a fire that claimed the life of a young boy started in a shed at the back of a home in Melbourne's east.
Emergency crews were called to the Ringwood address on Belle Vue Avenue at about 6pm on Saturday.
After putting out the blaze in a shed at the back of the property, the crews found a three-year-old boy's body inside.
Police said the boy was believed to be a resident at the property.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious, but the exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
