'You have to ask' - Markus Krosche breaks silence on Liverpool sporting director links

Markus Krosche has distanced himself from speculation linking with him the sporting director role at Liverpool.

That hasn't stopped a number of potential candidates from being linked with the role. AS Monaco sporting director Paul Mitchell was said to be one such target, while The Athletic reported earlier this week that Krosche was the latest candidate under consideration, reporting that Liverpool had interest in the Eintracht Frankfurt sporting CEO.

“No, there was no phone call with Klopp. I don't know where this rumour has come from. It’s speculation. You have to ask the person who wrote it,” Sport 1 quote him as saying in the mixed zone after the game.

“I’m here and happy to be at Eintracht Frankfurt. We still have a lot planned and have developed very, very well. There is nothing more to say about it.”
