You can now hire an alpaca to be your wedding ring-bearer in Edinburgh

When you imagine a ring-bearer at a wedding, you probably think of a small child in a suit or floaty dress, carrying a cushion down the aisle with a nervous expression.

Some of the more animal-obsessed among you might even have considered roping your family pet in as a ring-bearer, and getting your dog or even your cat to do it.

But if you fancy incorporating something even more unusual (but equally adorable) you could always decide to opt for a larger beast instead. Namely, an alpaca.

BobCat Alpacas in Edinburgh are already one of the top attractions in the city on TripAdvisor, beating some of the more traditional tourist hotspots.

They're rated 19 out of almost 1500 things to do in the city, with people opting to take them for treks through the scenic Pentland Hills.

However, fewer people might be aware that the company also hire out their fluffy pals to be your ring-bearer, or simply visit your wedding to entertain your guests and provide adorable selfie opportunities.

One of the couples who used BobCat Alpacas (BobCat Alpacas)

They say:

"Why not make your wedding day a truly unique and memorable experience by having alpacas as special guests to add a ‘WOW’ factor to your wedding.

"These sweet and gentle animals will captivate and delight your guests, while adding an extra special touch to your day.

  • Greet the wedding party on arrival
  • They can act as ring-bearers
  • Guests can walk and pet the alpacas
  • Guests can hand feed the alpacas
  • Lots of photo opportunities

"All weddings will be tailored to your wishes. The only limit is your imagination.
Please contact us to discuss."

Sounds good to us!

As well as hiring the alpacas out for weddings, you can also hire them for your birthday or hen party, or get them to visit your community centre or school.
