You can now get The Sims 4 for free - but you'll have to be quick

Since the early noughties, people have enjoyed creating their own world and controlling people on The Sims.

The life simulation video game has proved incredibly popular over the years, with more and more versions being released.

The most recent version, The Sims 4: Strangerville, was released in February, but the original The Sims 4 first came out in 2014.

And if fans are quick, they can get their hands on the game for free thanks to EA Origin.

Yes, for FREE, no cost, absolutely nothing - and the best part, you can keep the game forever.

The only downside to the deal, is that you can only get it for free on your PC and not the gaming console of your choice.

In order to nab yourself a copy of The Sims 4, you'll need an EA Origin account and you will have to install EA Origin launcher on your computer.

But it's not difficult to do - simply click on 'Get it Free' button on the Origin website and you'll be shown how to go about doing all this.

Along the way you'll most likely be asked if you want to sign up for EA's Origin Access passes, doing so will cost money, but you can continue the download without it.

You'll also have to be prepared to spend some cash if you want any of the expansions or 'stuff packs' that can be used in the game.

Prices start from £34.99 for expansions and some of the packs can cost up to £19.99 and feature items such as kitchenware, party decorations and vampire-themed goodies.

The game itself will usually set you back around £20, depending where you purchase it from.

This freebie deal is only available for a limited time, running until May 28. The deluxe version of the game is not included in the offer.
