You can now get Costa Coffee in a can - and there's even a caramel latte flavour

Whether as a morning ritual, afternoon pick-me-up and Saturday treat - there's no denying that us Brits love a bit of Costa Coffee.

So much so, that the famous drinks chain has decided to bring out even more accessible canned versions of some of its most popular coffees - and Britain will be first to get their hands on them.

Coming in three caffeine-fuelled flavours: Classic Latte, Caramel Latte and Black Americano, the new edition trio includes some of Costa Coffee's most popular variants.

And it's good news for anyone counting calories, with the new drinks containing between 15 - 108 calories per 250ml can, as well as 30% less sugar than most other ready-to-drink coffees in Great Britain.

While there's no word on price yet or where the new drinks will be stocked, Costa has announced that the new chilled, canned coffee is brewed with the same Mocha Italia Signature Blend coffee beans used at Costa, with each drink containing the equivalent of a double shot of espresso.

Designed for consumers looking for a genuine coffee hit, but from a chilled coffee, they're expected to hit shelves nationwide later this month, followed by Poland and China.

Just in time for summer, the new creation is also the first major product launch from the coffee brand since Coca-Cola acquired Costa Coffee earlier this year.

Jennifer Mann, Senior Vice President and President of Global Ventures for Coca-Cola, said “Our teams at Coca-Cola and Costa Coffee have been working around-the-clock to make our shared vision of Costa Coffee ready-to-drink coffee a reality.”

“This demonstrates the power of our partnership. It combines the marketing expertise, global scale and distribution credentials of the Coca-Cola system with Costa Coffee’s expertise and capabilities in coffee. The result is a fantastic tasting, ready-to-drink coffee.”

Dominic Paul, CEO of Costa Coffee said: “Through this collaboration we’ve been able to work together to offer consumers the great taste of Costa Coffee in a can for the first time.

We are committed to working together to give consumers more opportunities to enjoy the Costa Coffee they know and love, whenever they want, wherever they are. We’re really proud to have bought this product to market at such speed while still ensuring the range has proper coffee at its heart.”
