Yogi Adityanath: After Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura & Vindhyavasini waking up too

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that after the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the temple town of Kashi appears to be waking up, as are Mathura, Vrindavan, Vindhyavasini Dham and Naimisharanya Dham.

His remarks came amid legal proceedings in the KV Temple-Gyanvapi mosque dispute.

“Ab Kashi bhi angdai le raha hai...ye hum sabke saamne hai,” Adityanath said, while addressing the inaugural session of UP BJP working committee.

He said the recently renovated Kashi Vishwanath Temple was receiving approximately one lakh visitors every day. “The city is proving the significance of its name in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision,” he said.

Yogi said the fact that not a single communal violence took place in UP was a reflection of the state’s strong law and order situation. “It is for the first time that namaz on the last Friday before Eid was not held on roads...Unhone apne ibadat ghar, masjid aur Idgah mein namaz adaa ki,” he said.

At the same time, Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti were held peacefully. Mentioning the removal of loudspeakers from religious places, he said, “You must have seen how we got rid of unnecessary noise.”
