Yes Please by Amy Poehler - review

Yes Please by Amy Poehler

Even if you've never heard of Amy Poehler this book will offer you some excellent advice in the most brilliant way possible. A breath of fresh air from all of the other celebrity books, Amy writes candidly in the three parts of the book entitled; 'say whatever you want', 'do whatever you like' and 'be whoever you are'.

The book is full of hilarious anecdotes, wonderful photos and memories of Amy's days on Saturday Night Live. It includes some nuggets of wisdom, and I particularly liked the chapter called 'treat your career like a bad boyfriend.' For when you feel stressed by schoolwork and anxious about exams, this chapter provides the advice you need to be more relaxed and not take life so seriously.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a book with plenty of laugh out loud moments but also anyone who wants to learn the tips and tricks from someone who has reached the top of their field. It made my appreciate the hard work involved and empowered me to do my best.
