Year in pictures: October 2021

As lockdown and the pandemic wore on, Canberrans looked to the brighter things in life and connected with causes and celebrations.

Young Canberrans put girl power into song, while Tia Riley put foot to pavement to support fundraising for premature bubs after her son Darcy was born weighing less than one kilogram.

Lockdown restrictions eased from October 15.

By the end of the month, many houses across the territory were adorned with creepy crawlies, cobwebs and pumpkins as locked-up Canberrans got into the Halloween spirit, with many offering COVID-safe individually wrapped treats for those looking to get some fresh air and enjoy the outside world.
