Yashasvi Jaiswal leapfrogs Rahul Dravid in Rajasthan Royals' top run-scorers' list

NEW DELHI: Young Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal jumped to the fifth position in the franchise's list of highest run-scorers during the IPL clash against the Mumbai Indians in Jaipur.

After facing a period of struggle to convert his starts into substantial scores, Jaiswal showcased his true potential by unleashing a flurry of boundaries and sixes against the Mumbai Indians' bowlers, crafting an unbeaten innings of 104 off just 60 balls. With nine fours and seven sixes, he powered his way to a remarkable strike rate of 173.33.

In his 45 appearances for RR, Jaiswal has amassed a total of 1,397 runs at an impressive average of 32.48 and a formidable strike rate of 150.05, featuring two centuries and eight half-centuries, with a highest score of 124.

Comparatively, legendary Indian batter Rahul Dravid, often hailed as 'The Wall', accumulated 1,324 runs in 52 matches for RR, maintaining an average of 27.02 and a strike rate of 108.88, with seven half-centuries to his name.

At the top of RR's run-scoring charts is their skipper Sanju Samson, who boasts an impressive tally of 3,717 runs in 138 matches, averaging 31.50 with a strike rate of 139.78. Samson's illustrious record includes two centuries and 23 fifties, with his highest score being 119.

In the ongoing season, Jaiswal has accumulated 225 runs in just eight matches at an average of 32.14 and an impressive strike rate of 157.34, with a century to his name.
