Yang 'travelling' for Birmingham medical as Celtic exit hinges on one condition

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun is reportedly travelling to Birmingham City for a medical, although it remains to be seen whether his move to the English Championship side will go through.

The Parkhead club are close to agreeing a £3million deal with add-ons to sell the South Korean, according to Sky Sports

Sky also claims that Yang is now travelling south of the border, with there being less than seven hours left of the transfer window in England. It is said, however, that Birmingham are waiting on Celtic to sanction the deal.

It comes as the Bhoys close in on a move for Sebastian Tounekti.

Tunisian journalist Mahdi Abid reports to his 76,000 followers on Facebook that Hammarby have agreed to sell the left winger to Celtic.

It is believed that Tounekti will have a medical in London today after travelling from Sweden.

Addressing incomings after Sunday's Glasgow derby, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: "We've had a period of time, so we've had a long time to reinforce the squad and listen, I'm hopeful that we can do that, and get it over the line.

"The game is about the quality of your players. You can take the game to different levels based on your players. But it's my responsibility to try and maximise what I can get out of the players that will be here.

"Hopefully, we can get that competition in the team and reinvigorate some of the players that have been here for a long time. Because, as you say, they've been here for four years, guys like Daizen (Maeda), they need competition."
