RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has verbally agreed a deal to join Paris Saint-Germain.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the teenage Liverpool target has agreed terms on a contract with the European champions.
However, a fee has not been agreed with RB Leipzig, leaving the door open to Liverpool.
Diomande contributed 13 goals and nine assists this season, and is expected to command fee of around £100m.
Liverpool see Diomande has their long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Reports in Spain gives a more positive spin on Liverpool's hopes.
It is claimed that in talks Liverpool have promised the youngster a key role in their squad next term, which is not a promise PSG would be able to keep.
The back-to-back Champions League winners already have one of the most fearsome forward lines in Europe, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola in their ranks.
Squeezing Diomande in there on a regular basis could prove tough.
Either way, Leipzig are set to pocket a huge profit on Diomande, who they signed for €20m last summer.
