Xherdan Shaqiri's Liverpool career could be over after Jurgen Klopp hint

Jurgen Klopp hinted that Xherdan Shaqiri has played his last game for Liverpool after being left out of the defeat to Arsenal.

The Reds were beaten 5-4 on penalties at Anfield after a goalless 90 minutes between the two teams in their second game of the week.

Shaqiri was absent all together just a week after starring in the 7-2 win over Lincoln.

The Swiss star is the subject of interest from two as of yet unnamed clubs and could be set to leave before Monday's transfer deadline.

Klopp said the versatile Shaqiri was not injured or subject to disciplinary action.

Asked about the player’s future, Klopp said: “I can't and I don't want to say anything about that.

“What I can say is he is not injured and it is not for disciplinary reasons.

“It is a time of the year when a manager get some informations then I have to react on that."
