It’s really not long now until Xbox’s next showcase, with just under two weeks to go. Anticipation for what Xbox might reveal is quite high, alongside deeper looks at games we already know are on the horizon, like Fable.
One eagle-eyed fan online also noticed that ahead of Xbox’s upcoming showcase, Xbox has added a few games to the “Coming to Game Pass” tab. To save beating around the bush, I’ll list the standout games here:
- Clockwork Revolution
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
- Tropico 7
- Armatus
- Witchbrook
- Fable
- There Are No Ghosts at the Grand
There’s the obvious one here, Fable, which is hotly anticipated and currently set to release this year. Playground Games recently reaffirmed that, with the game set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 this year.
Perhaps most interestingly, Clockwork Revolution is now listed as coming soon. The game currently has no official release date, though it has been heavily speculated to launch this year.
Clockwork Revolution is being developed by inXile Entertainment, a highly regarded studio known for its RPG pedigree. The game itself is set within a steampunk Victorian-inspired world, which to me sounds pretty exciting and interesting.
Also surprisingly, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is listed as coming soon too, especially considering the game still has no official release date despite being scheduled for this year.
All of this does beg the question as to whether we’ll finally get official release dates for some of these games during Xbox’s showcase. Perhaps their launches are sooner than many of us expected, or at least that’s what I’m hoping for anyway.
Out of the list personally, I’m probably most excited for Fable, as I'm sure many others are too. I’ve got quite fond memories of playing the older games when I was younger and having to share an Xbox with my brother.
