Another day, another X outage. This time it's a familiar one impacting users across the planet, as the "For You" timeline is currently out of action.
The outage started at around 3:45am ET / 8:45am BST, as outage reports came flooding into Down Detector.
Cloudflare wasn't the issue (no matter what the outage reports may suggest), and as of 5:15am ET / 10:15am BST, the service is back up and running.

Morning all! So when I woke up to do my obligatory browse of X.com, to see what the tech bros are chatting about this time, I was greeted with a familiar face — the "For You" timeline broken. The outage spikes show this isn't just me!
That's a big spike
We're nearly up to 2500 reports Stateside, and over 1200 in the U.K. at the time of writing this.
Cloudflare is not the problem
Something that can commonly happen is people can look at a certain platform being down and blame the cloud service. This happened with AWS last year. Cloudflare's being reported, but it continues to be operational.

And just as it starts working here in the U.K. for me, the outage graph has reached its tip in the U.S. and is starting to come down.

Yep, this definitely seems to be a flash in the pan! I'll keep a close eye just in case anything happens, but the worst of it looks to be over.

With outage reports tumbling and all our testing showing the service is back up and running, this downtime is officially over. I'll keep an eye on things just in case, but things are back to normal over here!

Well that blip is more than a blip! Timeline has broken again and people are reporting login issues. Standby

My "For You" Timeline just reappeared
Somebody could've pushed the wrong button over at X HQ and quickly fixed the issue. Waiting to see whether this is just me or whether others are seeing this fix.
Reports are back on the decline
X seems to be working fine for my account, and Down Detector reports are back on the decline. Here's hoping it sticks this time.

Down Detector reports have dropped down to 105, which is more or less back to normal for X. Hopefully this time the reports stay low, or decline even further.
So we're calling it, X was down but now it's back up.
