X Factor: Celebrity live shows in major shake-up to take pressure off nervous celebs

There will be a major shake-up for the X Factor: Celebrity for tonight's first first live show.

Usually the contestants perform in front of an enormous studio audience filled with cheering (and sometimes booing) fans.

However, X Factor bosses have decided to change things up this time round for the nervous celebs.

In a major overhaul, the celebrities will sing in a much smaller and more intimate set up.

The guests will be sat on luxury tables dotted around the floor with velvet seats in the new ITV studio, which is said to resemble a jazz club.

A source told Daily Star Online : "The show has a totally fresh feel – it looks amazing.

"There is no large scale studio audience this time around, the standard layout resembles that of a jazz club.

"Producers have gone all out in terms of production.

"They have splashed out on velvet turquoise seats, low lighting lamps on every table and even holographic walls."

In a similar manner to the auditions, the three judges will sit at the front at the top table.

Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh will be sat right in front of the celebs when they perform live on TV for the very first time.

Vinnie Jones will be singing 'Everybody needs somebody’ by The Blues Brothers - and will pay tribute to late wife Tanya.

The former footballer said: “I’ve got a song that I could get emotional to, but Tanya wouldn’t want me to crack up. It’s a ballad, an Irish song, it’s basically about me and her. So it’s a sad song.

"If I can get through that, I think that could bring the house down.

"The biggest part of doing X Factor was Tanya. She loved the show, she thought it would be brilliant. I’m like, ‘No no, really?’ She was like ‘yeah you’ll be brilliant, I love it,’ then my daughter jumped in, Kaley, and she’s like you’ve got to do it.

"It gave Tanya something to look forward to, to come over to London and get well for.

"Sadly it was a bridge too far for her."

*X Factor: Celebrity airs tonight on ITV at 8.20pm
