Kim Kardashian And Kris Jenner Deny Sex Tape Plot As Ray J Fires Back

Kim Kardashian sex tape legal battle escalates (Credit: AFP News)

Reality television star Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner have strongly denied claims that they orchestrated the release of Kardashian's infamous 2007 sex tape, reigniting a long-running dispute with singer and entrepreneur Ray J.

The controversy, which has followed all three figures for nearly two decades, resurfaced again after fresh court filings and public statements brought the issue back into the spotlight. Kardashian and Jenner insist the allegations are completely untrue, describing them as harmful and continuing to affect their reputations.

Ray J, however, has fired back at their denials, claiming the pair are not telling the truth and suggesting the legal battle is far from over. The renewed conflict has drawn intense public attention, with both sides standing firmly behind their version of events. As the dispute unfolds in court and across social media, the case has once again revived questions about one of the most controversial moments in modern celebrity culture.

Kardashian And Jenner Reject Claims About Tape's Release

The dispute centres on the infamous tape featuring Kardashian and Ray J, recorded in 2003 during their relationship and later released publicly by Vivid Entertainment in 2007. Kim Kardashian, Superstar, quickly became a cultural flashpoint and played a significant role in bringing Kardashian into the public eye.

In newly filed legal declarations, Kardashian firmly rejected Ray J's claims that she and her mother planned the release of the tape to generate publicity. She reportedly described the accusation as a lie and denied any suggestion that the pair had plotted to distribute the footage or stage a lawsuit to attract attention.

Jenner also issued a strong denial, saying the idea that she would orchestrate or exploit a sex tape involving her daughter is deeply offensive. She insisted she had no involvement in the recording or distribution of the tape and dismissed the allegations as entirely false.

The declarations were filed as part of a wider legal battle that has been escalating for months. Kardashian and Jenner previously sued Ray J for defamation after he publicly alleged that they orchestrated the tape's release and misled the public about how it became public.

Back in 2007, Kardashian initially sued the company that distributed the tape over invasion of privacy before later settling the case. Reports at the time indicated that the settlement included a multimillion-dollar payout.

Ray J Responds As Legal Feud Intensifies

Ray J has not backed down from his claims. Following the latest court filings, the singer publicly criticised Kardashian and Jenner's statements and accused them of lying under oath. He said he refuses to stay silent while the narrative around the tape continues to place blame on him.

The dispute has also become personal. Ray J has argued that the controversy has damaged his reputation and affected his family, including his children. According to reports, he believes the ongoing accusations have unfairly portrayed him as responsible for releasing the tape.

His mother, Sonja Norwood, has also weighed in on the dispute, publicly supporting her son and challenging the Kardashians' version of events. She has suggested that the truth behind the tape's release has not yet fully come out.
