WWE star Becky Lynch left with gruesome slashes after being whipped by rival’s hair

WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was left battered and slashed by rival Bianca Belair after the Irishwoman was whipped by her opponent's hairs, leaving scratches and gashes across her stomach.

Lynch had teamed up with British wrestling stars Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. to face the team of Belair, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan on RAW’s Monday night show.

The champion spent most of the bout pulling her foe's exceptionally long hair, which she has tied up in a braid. As the bout neared its climax, Belair grew tired of the shenanigans and began to fight back by using her colossal braid as an effective whip.

The 32-year-old began to lash her hair across Lynch’s body, connecting on a number of whips which echoed around the arena. Lynch, known as The Man, immediately rolled out of the ring in visible pain and distress as she revealed the wounds around her stomach.

“Don’t touch my hair!” Belair yelled at the champion before delivering her KOD finishing move on Nikki A.S.H. to secure the win.

Later during Monday’s show, Lynch shared the scars from the bout - and it appears this incident could well play a key role as the two women get set to face off in their upcoming Wrestlemania 38 match. Belair won an Elimination Chamber Match last month to earn a shot at the RAW women’s title, defeating Ripley, Nikki A.S.H., Alexa Bliss, Doudrop and Morgan.

Lynch will defend her title against Belair on April 2 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Like the last two years, it's a two-day affair as WrestleMania 38 takes place on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3, 2022 (Sunday, April 3 and Monday, April 4, 2022 in the UK). After Brock Lesnar added himself to the Chamber Match and won the WWE Championship in the process, he has set up what's being billed as the biggest WrestleMania event of all time.

Lesnar will face Roman Reigns for both the WWE title and the Universal Championships as the WrestleMania 38 main event.
