WWE legend The Undertaker lifts the lid on relationship with Vince McMahon

The Undertaker insisted he has always been determined to stand by Vince McMahon during his WWE career.

The WWE legend continues to fight in the ring sparingly, having turned 54 this year.

His last bout was at WWE Extreme Rules in July with another WrestleMania fight tipped to be on the cards next year.

During his lengthy career, the Undertaker has often been regarded as a leader among his fellow wrestlers, within the locker room.

He has opened up on his status and his relationship with McMahon, who gave him his opportunity back in 1990.

“I never thought of myself as the locker room leader. It just kinda happened in a sense just because I was kinda there for everything," he told Broken Skull Sessions.

"I tell people that sometimes and I never want it to come off like I’m being an a**hole, but when times were so lean there, when business was so bad, I’ve made more in one pay-off than I did in a whole year.”

"If Vince and I butt heads or we don’t agree which is gonna happen, we’re not gonna always see eye to eye, it’s a process.

“Regardless, he gave me my chance. There’s no telling where I would’ve been if he hadn’t given me the chance and I just never forgot that.

"Like I said if that ship would have went down I’d have been sharing that life vest with him.”

Meanwhile, the Undertaker has admitted he could have called it a day following his first WrestleMania defeat in 2014, to Brock Lesnar.

"The thing about this match that nobody knows is somewhere within the first five minutes of this match I get concussed. I don’t even remember this night," he said.

"Then it became personal with me...I'm not going to go out...my last match and not be able to remember it."
