The WWE 2K website has just revealed a major teaser for WWE 2K26. They’re calling it the first of the Daily Clues, and the interactive webpage asks you to “break the glass” to reveal a treasure trove of hints for the upcoming game. From VHS tapes to wild props, the teaser features nods to matches, arenas, roster teases, and more. We previously got another teaser last week, hinting at NXT additions and some idea of what the new Island Mode is going to look like.
If you analyze the teaser properly, you’ll notice a mic with the iconic scratch logo, a picture of a pet Iguana (basically confirming Mr. Iguana from AAA), a shopping cart (more weapons), a calendar that says draft on it, which backs the WWE Draft rumor.
To the right of the image, you’ll also notice a bunch of VHS tapes. This stack has VHS tapes of Clash at the Castle, Punk vs. Rollins vs. Roman (Mania triple threat), Cena vs. Orton from Breaking Point (I Quit match confirmed), Wrestlepalooza, and Night of Champions — all hinting at those arenas returning. Finally, props like steel chairs, thumb tacks, and even a gas can are seen.
The Excitement Is Palpable
I have been disillusioned with the current era of WWE 2K games for a while now, but with all these leaks and rumors, it’s hard not to get excited. During last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, we saw the reveal of the Attitude Era Edition cover, and Saturday Night’s Main Event revealed the Monday Night War cover. If you grew up with wrestling in the 90’s or the early 2000’s, you know how vital both of those eras are to WWE. The Attitude Era cover also shows off Demon Kane, a version of Kane that hasn’t been in the games for a while.
We’re still yet to see the cover for the Standard Edition, but rumors have been pointing to CM Punk as the cover star for months now. Prices are unconfirmed for the special editions, but we know the base game will inevitably be $70. If they fix Universe Mode while they’re at it, this release could be incredible.
