WWE 2K26 Release Date & Everything We Know

The excitement is ramping up within the WWE community as we get closer to the yearly WWE iteration. It looks like we’ve finally made headway on news about the series’ newest edition. 2K Games has kept all revelations to a minimum, but thanks to well-known leaker Billbil-kun, we have an update on when the game is expected to drop and more. So stay with me to find out everything we know about WWE 2K26 till now.

According to Billbil-kun, the expected release date for WWE 2K26 is Friday, March 13 2026. Now, this is an expected release date gained through datamining, so don’t take it as fact just yet. But considering the time period accurately lines up with WWE 2K’s yearly release dates, and the fact that Billbil-kun has revealed accurate release dates in the past, I’m pretty confident we’ll see the game in just under two months.

I already mentioned that mid-March is WWE 2K’s routine release date, and with GTA VI on the horizon, I don’t think 2K Games wants to delay it much further. If the information is correct, though, you should start saving up if you want to be king of the ring this year.

What Platforms Will The Game Release On?

Now that we’ve got an approximate date for the game’s release, it’s time to move on to platforms. Which platforms will you be able to play WWE 2K26 on? The answer is: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. There is a slight difference between what console and PC gamers can buy vs Nintendo users.

Console and PC gamers will be able to get their hands on a physical version of the game, complete with the box and everything. Switch 2 players, on the other hand, will need to digitally download the game onto their devices. You’ll still be able to buy the box, but the box will have a code that can be applied for players to download the game. Not the best, but at least Switch 2 isn’t getting left out, right?

Will The Game Support Cross-Generation Gameplay?

The final bit of news, or lack thereof, I have is regarding older generation consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, it might be time to bid your older consoles farewell, as it doesn’t seem the latest WWE game will be coming to older generations. This is both a pro and a con.

The plus side is that this means the game won’t be weighed down by older hardware and can utilise new-gen graphics in the game, something we’re all looking forward to. However, this does mean that a part of the player base using older generation consoles will be left out, either having to upgrade or skip out on the game altogether.

It should be noted that this is all part of datamining reports, and players should wait until an official announcement is issued to work things out. The pre-orders for the game should start around 30th January, so keep an eye out for that as well.
