Welcome to Wrexham documentary: How to watch on Disney+ in the UK

The highly-anticipated documentary of Wrexham AFC's progress since being taken over by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has been released.

Phil Parkinson's men were closely watched by cameras during the course of what was a turbulent 2021/22 season. The Dragons finished second in the National League but missed out on promotion into League Two after being defeated by Grimsby Town in the play-offs.

That loss came shortly after Wrexham lost 1-0 to Bromley in the FA Trophy final at Wembley. Nevertheless, the club attracted attention from around the globe due to the involvement of Hollywood actors Reynolds and McElhenney.

The Welcome to Wrexham documentary has now been released in the UK, on August 25, on Disney+ after arriving on FX on Hulu in the US a day earlier.

Disney+ subscription costs £7.99 a month, or 12 months' can be accessed for £79.90.

When the official trailer for the documentary was released, McElhenney said of it: "I fell in love with a sport, a town and a movie star. I couldn’t help it."

In response to McElhenney's post, the official Wrexham account wrote: "And we fell in love with you too! #WelcomeToWrexham."

Reynolds and McElhenney feature prominently in the trailer - which features segments from the pair's first ever press conference with media and fans at the club's Racecourse Ground last year - along with clips from various matches.
