World Cup hero Jordan Pickford gets married in a baseball cap and ripped jeans

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has married his childhood sweetheart at a ceremony in Crewe - while wearing a baseball cap.

The Washington-born star, 25, was watched on by his son and a handful of guests as he tied the knot to Megan Davison, 23.

The couple had been due to get married in a lavish Maldives ceremony later this year.

However, Mail Online reports that guests snapped pictures of the pair following Tuesday's ceremony, in Cheshire.

And the former Sunderland AFC 'keeper, who earns a reported £90k-a-week at Everton, was casually dressed in a baseball cap and ripped jeans.

The couple have been dating since they were teenagers, having met at Robert of Newminster Catholic School, Washington.

Megan was first sported wearing an engagement ring during the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where Jordan became a national hero thanks to his penalty shoot-out heroics.

He is expected to feature in Gareth Southgate's England squad again at the 2020 European Football Championships.

Last February, the couple welcomed son Arlo into the world, with Megan posting on Instagram that she had been "preparing to fall in love for a lifetime".
