World Cup 2018 LIVE: Argentina and Lionel Messi reaction, Diego Maradona latest, Germany and Brazil bid to reach last-16, news, predictions and more

The 2018 World Cup is in full flow in Russia.

Argentina Football booked their place in the last-16 on Tuesday night with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Nigeria Football that saw them progress from Group D alongside Croatia, and set-up a mouth-watering game with France this weekend, while it all proved to be a bit too much for Diego Maradona as he watched on in St Petersburg.

But today the action moves on swiftly with both Brazil Football and Spain looking to secure their safe passage to the next round. Germany are up first as the reigning world champions face South Korea knowing that a victory will guarantee them a place in the last-16, with Mexico and Sweden also vying for qualification in the group’s over match.

Then Brazil will look to earn a win over Serbia that will see them safely through, with Switzerland and Costa Rica competing in Group E’s other match. Follow all the latest news below...

That is it for today here. For more reaction to Germany's exit, head over here:

FULL TIME
16:58
For the first time since 1938, Germany are out in the group stage of a World Cup. Mexico are through.

GOAL!
16:55
GERMANY ARE OUT. Heung-Min Son seals it. Manuel Neuer is playing in midfield, so when a long-ball frees Son in behind the German defence he only has to collect and slot into the empty net.
FULL TIME
16:53
It is all over in Ekaterinburg, and Sweden are through as group winners.
GOAL!
16:52
It is given. The defending champions are going out of the World Cup. South Korea 1 - Germany 0. Kim Young-Gwon, a centre-half who plays in China, is the scorer.
16:51
They are having an official review.
16:51
My word. South Korea think they've scored. It is ruled out for offside, but VAR are taking a look. Has it come off Toni Kroos?
16:49
6 minutes added on in Kazan. 4 in Ekaterinburg.
16:46
What a miss that is! Mats Hummels times his charge beautifully to get on the end of a Mesut Ozil cross but heads/shoulders over. 0-0, 87 minutes gone.
16:44
The seventh own goal of the tournament, the most at any World Cup in history.

16:37
But time is running out for Die Mannschaft. Less than 15 minutes left of the 90.

GOAL!
16:34
3-0 Sweden! An own goal from Edson Alvarez who horrifically misjudges a clearance and deflects the ball into the net. A Germany goal would put Mexico, so impressive in their first two games, out.
16:27
Penalty!

YELLOW CARD
16:24
A booking for Heung Min-Son. The Tottenham forward is deemed to have dived after Marco Reus steps across him..
GOAL!
16:21
And Andreas Granqvist fires home his second penalty of the tournament. 2-0 to Sweden.
16:20
It is a penalty for Sweden! Mexico give the ball away in midfield and Sweden break. Marcus Berg prepares to shoot but is felled by Hector Moreno, who is booked and will miss Mexico's Round of 16 game, should they progress.
16:17
An injury to Koo Ja-Cheol ends the Germany-based midfielder's afternoon early. Hwang Hee-Chan comes on. Sebastian Larsson also leaves the field injured for Sweden. He'll miss any potential Round of 16 game for Sweden after picking up a booking. Gustav Svensson is on
