World Central Kitchen Suspends Operations In Gaza After Deadly Attack

Gaza Attack

World Central Kitchen (WCK) is currently assessing the situation in Gaza after seven of its workers tragically lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike on Monday night. The founder of WCK, José Andrés, has accused Israel of targeting the aid convoy deliberately.

In response to the attack, a United Nations aid agency has decided to suspend its movements at night for a minimum of 48 hours. This decision comes after a CNN analysis suggested that the airstrike involved multiple precision strikes.

US President Joe Biden has expressed his outrage over the incident and is scheduled to have a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, as confirmed by a US official.

As a result of the recent events, WCK has not yet determined when it will resume its humanitarian operations in Gaza. The organization is likely to take necessary precautions and evaluate the safety of its workers before proceeding with its aid efforts in the region.

The situation in Gaza remains tense, with international organizations and leaders closely monitoring developments and working towards a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
