Works to close three Monklands roads next month

A trio of Monklands roads are closing to drivers for spells next month.

Coatbridge’s Gain and Shankburn Road is closing between 9pm and 6am every day from July 1 until July 6 for work by Scottish Water.

This applies from Yetts Hole Road to Mollinsburn Road and those two roads will act as alternative routes.

Hallcraig Street in Airdrie town centre will be affected by an all-day closure on July 4.

Scottish Water will be carrying out work from Baillies Lane to "a point 50m west" and diversions on offer to motorists include the A89 (Gartlea Road and Weavers Road), the B802 (Broomknoll Street and Bank Street) and High Street

The installation of speed tables will result in Bo’ness Road in Chapelhell, between the B799 Lancaster Avenue roundabout and Glen Avon Drive, shutting for five days from July 12.

Drivers are asked to take the A73 Bellside Road, the A73 Main Street, Lauchope Street, Woodhall Street and the B799 Lancaster Avenue as diversions.
