Work-shy 'trophy husband' lives off three wives' income and spends all day 'thinking'

A self-described "trophy husband" who isn't employed is waited on hand and foot by his three wives - after they've been at work all day.

Dad-of-two Nick Davis doesn't work as "the King doesn't move around much", yet spins it to claim the "Queens" in his life have all the power.

All three of his wives, April, Danielle and Jennifer, have full-time jobs, while Nick doesn't contribute financially to his family because he is 'studying' all day.

Nick barely lifts a finger because his wives don't want him to deal with the stress of cooking, cleaning or even driving.

"In our household the women are the breadwinners. That's the way we run things here in our special way," says Nick on TLC show Seeking Sister Wife.

While the wives are at work, Nick spends his time "reading, learning and deciphering" - something one of the wives claims they simply could never do themselves.

"We prefer it that way. I would go crazy if I was at the house all the time," April claims. "Jen and I make more than enough money by ourselves. We don't need and want that."

Danielle reveals that Nick "doesn't bring a dime" into the relationship, which one of her friends admit its "weird".

But Jennifer says the passion her husband has for growth, learning and research is "attractive".

While April adds: "I'm so thankful I have a thinker at home who can just read and think and tell me about all the things he has been able to research and what that means.

"How that applies to us here and how it make it so we don't need to be stressed in our life like everyone around us."

Nick, 39, who had been interested in polygamy for over 15 years, claims his interest was really stirred when he met first wife April.

He met April, 38, while attending college in 2008, then they welcomed Jennifer, 25, into the marriage almost nine years later.

It was actually April who introduced Jennifer, who was just 19-years-old at the time, to Nick because they needed another woman to meet his "needs".

"Nick's a lot to handle. Let's just say that... in a lot of ways," explains April. "Nick is a lot to handle in the bed."

She adds: "It just became evident to me that she was a great person, there was a lot of high intellect in that big brain of hers and I knew that Nick would find her attractive."

The women don't date each other and are only in a sexual relationship with Nick, but do all sleep in the same bed as he likes to be sandwiched by them.

Nick explains he likes to be "snuggled up in the middle" of his wives in bed but sex always occurs in a different area of the home with each wife.

"We always make sure we're in a separate bedroom, separate area of the house when Nick's doing his thing. Jen and I will stay in the guest bedroom to give them their privacy," says April.

In last year's season of Seeking Sister Wife, there were major changes afoot when Nick brought 22-year-old Danielle into the family.

After coming back from their first solo date, Nick tells his other wives he needs to "have a talk" with Danielle, kisses them, then spends the night with the new addition.

While all four are cuddling in bed the morning after, Nick cries: "Is someone going to make me food or what?"

When the three of them start cooking, Nick sits at the table reading a book about 'biogenesis', the principle that living organisms are produced only from other living organisms.

Eventually they have a wedding ceremony with all the wives, where Nick admits he is "living the dream" as he committed to Danielle.

He says: "Having three wives, knowing that we've all solidified our union and brought it together like we have, it's just unbelievable. I just feel like I'm just living a dream come true.

Danielle concludes: "I honestly didn't ever think I could be this happy. I didn't think happiness like this existed until I found a love like this."

The Davis family welcomed their first child together in June last year when Jennifer gave birth to baby Vera, but Nick also has an older teenage son from a previous relationship.

It remains to be seen as to whether they will get a fourth wife to join their unusual family.
