Work is progressing on a new Nando's restaurant and Starbucks drive-through at Victoria Retail Park, as these pictures show.
A structure surrounded by scaffolding can now be seen on part of the Morrisons car park in Netherfield.
Conditional planning permission was approved in July last year for the restaurant and coffee shop to the north-east of the car park, next to Victoria Park Way.
The site will be accessed through the existing mini-roundabout that provides access to the Morrisons car park and petrol station.
Speaking previously, Councillor John Clarke, leader of Gedling Borough Council, said: "I welcome anything that helps boost our local economy and I’m sure this new development will be incredibly popular.
"Businesses like these help create jobs in our area, not only once they open their doors but also during the building process.
"With the nearby developments at Teal Close coming along, I’m sure these new facilities will be well used in the near future.
"We’re aware that the area is already very busy and we’ll be calling upon Nottinghamshire County Council to further improve the nearby road junctions."
