Work from Dumfries and Galloway school students goes on display at Gracefield Arts Centre

A selection of artwork from Dumfries and Galloway secondary school students created for their Advanced Higher portfolios has gone on display at the Gracefield Arts Centre.

The free-to-view exhibition highlights the talent of the young artists and is on public display at the centre’s Gallery 2 on Edinburgh Road, Dumfries, until January 21 – and is well worth a visit.

The huge variety of impressive artworks are by pupils of Dumfries Academy, St Joseph’s College, Sanquhar Academy, Wallace Hall and Castle Douglas High School.

On Saturday many of the talented pupils and their teachers were at the opening launch at Gracefield and were delighted to showcase their artwork with members of the public and keen to answer any related questions, with soft refreshments served.
