A brand new McDonalds is now under construction as part of a drive-thru and petrol station development within West Lothian.
The new addition to the Heartlands junction, coupled with a petrol station and other fast-food and drink chains, is scheduled for opening by the end of September.
The popular fast-food restaurant will move into the highly-anticipated Eurogarage site, which also features a KFC, Greggs, Starbucks Drive-Thru, and a Shell petrol station with a Sainsbury's On the Go within the building.
The site, originally planned for initial opening in June, has pushed back the date of launch, which was most likely due to the current working climate with the coronavirus pandemic still raging on across Scotland.
The first announcement surrounding the purchase of this land to develop a Heartlands Business Park was made back in 2018, as Eurogarages looked to double the size of its Scottish locations.
The Heartlands 4A junction was also a recent addition to the M8 motorway, and opened to the public in the September of 2013.
The new development will open up to more than 300 jobs across West Lothian, and drive business to the small towns that surround the motorway exit, such as Whitburn, Harthill and Armadale.

The junction sits at equal distance from the two main Scottish cities, Glasgow and Edinburgh, meaning it is a good halfway stop off point when travelling across the central belt of Scotland.
