Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was struck on the head with a glass bottle during a robbery in South Gloucestershire.
The female victim was walking around Westerleigh Road, near Downend, listening to music when a man approached her from behind.
He subsequently struck her on the head with a glass bottle before stealing her mobile phone.

The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Saturday, August 14 and CCTV enquiries and forensic enquiries are ongoing.
The offender headed off in the direction of the cemetery and was wearing a black top, dark trousers and a blue surgical mask at the time.
