Megan Fox hits back at wild ‘clone’ conspiracy after Instagram return

Megan Fox has poked fun at online conspiracy theorists after her return to Instagram prompted bizarre claims that the images showed a “clone” rather than the actress herself.

The actress returned to Instagram on Wednesday after a lengthy break, sharing the images from a recent shoot with her 20.7 million followers.

“Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed,” she captioned the carousel of sultry photographs on Tuesday, that saw her in a black cropped T-shirt and matching thong.

She then shared the images with her followers, she wrote on her Instagram Story: “I'm alive. New pics just dropped.”

However, one commenter quickly suggested the pictures were not genuine, writing beneath the post: “This isn't Megan. This is a Clone.”

Fox wasted little time responding with a sharp retort.

According to screenshots shared by the account CommentsByCelebs, she replied: “B***h a clone could never.”

The photoshoot, which quickly racked up attention online, also drew a reaction from her former partner Machine Gun Kelly.

The musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, left a playful remark under the post, writing: “Stoked I have your phone number.”

Fox and Kelly share a daughter, Saga Blade, now 14 months old. The child was born three months after the pair ended their relationship in 2024.

Her latest posts arrive just weeks before she turns 40 on March 16.

Fox previously wiped her Instagram account to mark her 38th birthday in May 2024, deleting all images and unfollowing every account she had been following.

She had also briefly deactivated the platform in February 2023 before returning days later to address rumours about her relationship with Kelly, telling fans at the time there had been no infidelity.

Sources told People magazine earlier this year that the pair had effectively been separated for some time, with one insider claiming they “haven’t been together in a real way for a long time now and whatever they had romantically is done.”
