Woman shares £4 window hack that helps slash energy bills and 'keeps you cosy'

With the colder winter months creeping in, many people are struggling with the cost of energy bills and are left worrying on how they will afford to use their central heating. As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, people are looking for efficient ways to keep soaring costs down - and one woman has shared a method that people are rushing to try.

Taking to video-streaming service TikTok, a woman shared a £4 hack that can potentially save you hundreds on your heating bill. In the video, @the.cosyclub - who boasts more than 10,000 followers - shared a life hack on how she keeps cold draught out of her home with an inexpensive Amazon product.

Captioning the post, the woman wrote: "Stop draughts from ruining your winter! Energy prices are crazy, but we will keep you cosy."

She explained: "So much heat escapes through draughts in the windows.

"Use window draughts blockers on the edges of your windows."

She gushed: "They are cheap and easy to buy!"

She bought a draught blocker off Amazon (the.cosyclub/Tiktok)
And fitted it on her windows (the.cosyclub/Tiktok)

The video, which has raked in a whopping 1.1 million views since posting, showed the woman sticking the draught blocker onto her windows.

Placing the item on the window will prevent a draught from entering her home, which in turn will help retain heat.

Stopping the cold air from creeping in means you can take advantage of indoor heating this winter without fear of wastage.

The clip later panned over the woman's Amazon page search which showed different variations of the product which are available to purchase.

The product is available for as little as £3.92 on the popular online store.

Rushing to the comments, viewers were keen to praise the woman's inexpensive method of keeping warm this winter - the video has left some people rushing to try the hack.

One keen user wrote: "I need this!"

"Thanks for the tip!" A second penned.

A third added: "Good idea! Thanks."
