Woman sent to hospital after car crashes into Hooters wall

Fire crews were called to Hooters in Nottingham after a car crashed into a wall.

Firefighters from London Road Station had to use specialist cutting equipment to rescue a female trapped within the car.

The incident happened at 6.35pm today (August 12). Nottinghamshire Police were also in attendance.

There were two women inside the vehicle and both females were taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service. Their condition is not yet known.

Fire crews left the scene at 7.10pm and said the incident happened outside Hooters in London Road.

Nottinghamshire Live contacted Hooters but no one was available to comment.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 6.35pm, London Road station attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle into a wall at London Road.

"One female was released before arrival of service and one female was released by service using Helmatro (cutting equipment). Both were conveyed to hospital by ambulance."
