Woman sent brutal email from boss after finding out boyfriend was cheating on her

People have been left gobsmacked at a brutal email a bakery employee received from her boss, telling her to get over her breakup. An anonymous Reddit user shared the shocking message they claim their friend received after being cheated on by her boyfriend of four years, in which she was told "not bring [the breakup] into the bakery" and "fake it until you make it".

In the email sent to the employee at the cake-making company, her manager encouraged the woman to move on from her boyfriend and even asked her to not be sad when at work. Users were shocked after the woman was told "he was part of your life, NOT all of it" and to "keep work work and personal personal".

One part of the harsh email reads: "You know we are in a small space and it gets oppressive for someone to be moping around".

The manager also suggests that "it is unhealthy to embrace that helplessness and that he ruined everything", even recommending the broken-hearted employee seek therapy.

However, Reddit users have been left especially confused over the employer’s unusual choice of words to describe the bakery and their nonsensical suggestion that the woman was transferring her sadness into the cakes.

The boss says: "You know we are a bit woo woo here and the thought of all of that sadness going into the cake isn’t something we want."

One user joked: "Just imagine some poor kid eating his birthday cake and tasting the sadness."

Another said: "Without a little sadness, how can they even taste the sweetness?"

The email ends with the manager expressing their wish for the employee to return to work no longer sad about her destroyed relationship but making "silly faces and inappropriate comments".

Many users offered their support to the employee, who has since moved jobs, and some have even been inspired to share their own experiences of unreasonable employers.
