You'll instantly know if you're in an area with hard water, because it will feel almost impossible to get things sparkly clean.
Around 60% of the UK is classified as having hard or very hard water, which means every litre of water has over 200mg of calcium carbonate. This can often cause hard water stains to appear in bathrooms, when you wash the dishes or other places where water is used in your home.
Hard water stains appear as chalky white residue, and can be incredibly annoying to clean. Luckily, a woman has shared an incredibly easy trick to instantly get rid of hard water stains – and people say it's a "game changer".
Sarah, who is known as Sarah Cleans on TikTok, shared the hack on her page, first sharing a video of her shower door which had lots of dried, white droplets on it.
She explained: "Take a Bounce Dryer Sheet and wet it. This removes the hard water so quickly and no hard scrubbing."
Bounce is an American company, but in the UK we have an equivalent product called Lenor Fabric Tumble Dryer Sheets, which cost between £2-3 for a pack of 34.
Sarah then showed the after pictures, which looked amazing. She added: "Then I rinsed with Dawn and polished."
Dawn is an American brand of dishwashing liquid which is known to cut through grease and grime. Fairy liquid is manufactured by the same company and essentially the same product, so can be used in the same way.
People in the comment section were amazed by the results, with one person saying: "I didn't believe it but I just tried this. This has now changed my life. GAME CHANGER!". Sarah replied saying: "Right? I keep a box in my cleaning bag it works on so many different surfaces! Also work great on soap build up on tubs!"
Another said: "What. Why didn't I know this, I'm for sure trying this next."

Looking for other great cleaning tips? One expert has urged people to clean their washing machine, as it's something many neglect to do.
First, you can do a maintenance wash by adding cleaning solution to the machine, then once it's finished, pull back the seal and wipe away any debris. Also remember to give your detergent drawer a good wash.
