It's become expected in society for women to shave off most of their body hair, but whether you choose to do so or not is up to you - and there's nothing wrong with deciding to embrace your natural look.
For one woman on TikTok, opting not to shave her legs for a month has led to an argument with her boyfriend, who ultimately decided to break up with her because he thought the sight of her hairy legs was "gross".
Posting a video on her account, @bonedrymilkers, the woman - who does not share her name online - showed screenshots of a text message conversation she'd had with her boyfriend after she sent him a picture of her legs and joked that she "hadn't shaved since Christmas".

But her lighthearted message backfired when her partner replied: "Yeah, I've noticed. You should really get on that. It's kind of gross, to be honest."
The woman told her boyfriend it's "not that serious" and said she was planning on shaving soon but had been "embracing the winter coat" in the cold weather.
Her boyfriend then doubled down on his comments, stating: "No, you should be embarrassed. It's really just unhygienic for a female. Plus it's a total turn off."
After asking if he was "serious", the man then responded: "Yeah, talk to me when you shave your legs."

The woman's video went viral and currently has over 18 million views, which has prompted her to share an updated video with more text messages between the pair.
Defending herself in one message, the woman told her partner: "What you said earlier was just stupid, and I know you're not going to like hearing this, but I posted what you said on TikTok and people are agreeing with me. It's normal for women to have body hair, and it's not like I said I never shave. I just haven't in a while. That's why I sent you a picture - because I thought it was funny. Your reaction was childish."
But the boyfriend still wasn't impressed, as he told her he "prefers our legs not to have the same feel" and claimed he couldn't believe people online were siding with her.
The woman said at the end of her video: "Update - we did in fact break up."
Comments on the videos were divided, with many people defending the woman's choice to not shave her legs - but others agreeing with the boyfriend's opinion.
One person said: "The misogyny and double standards flow so freely out this man."
While another added: "The way I'd never speak to him again after this."
But someone else disagreed, stating: "He's kind of right though."
