Woman’s body found in Glasgow home as police probe ‘unexplained death’

Police have launched an ‘unexplained death’ probe after the body of a woman was found at a Glasgow home.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Jura Street at around 8.40am on Tuesday, April 25, following a call expressing ‘concern’ for the person inside.

Officers went on to discover the 35-year-old, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are at an early stage, Police Scotland have confirmed.

A statement from the force read: “We were made aware of concern for a woman at a property on Jura Street in Glasgow shortly after 8.40am on Tuesday, 25 April.

“Officers attended and the body of a 35-year-old woman was found within. Her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
