Woman's at-home hair dye attempt goes so wrong she has to rinse off at car wash

While in lockdown, we're all unable to get our hair done, so many have been taking matters into their own hands - but it hasn't been ending well.

We recently saw how one woman turned herself and her bathroom bright blue, following an at-home hair dye fail.

In order to avoid having this happen to her, a different woman who recently dyed her own hair decided not to rinse the colour out in her shower.

Instead of messing up her porcelain bathroom, the mum had her son take her to their local car wash, so she could sort out the mess there.

In a video posted to the TikTok account @theonlykeef, viewers first see the woman, with the dye on her hair and the colour staining her hands, face and white t-shirt.

She holds up a box of hair dye, saying: "I wanted to look like Midnight Ruby."

Her son then proceeds to drive her to the car wash, where her other son meets them so they can block her in with their cars.

"We need him to block the other side of the car wash... I don't want anyone to see me," the parent explains.

Once he arrives, the parent gets out of the car, wearing a plastic bin bag over her clothing.

Between the group, they use one of the pressure washers to rinse the red out of the mum's hair and then attempt to dry it as well.

"I'm so cold. I have many regrets," the woman says as she gets back in the car.

"Let's get out of here before anybody starts asking questions," her son replies.

The video went viral on TikTok, being watched more than seven million times and garnering over 996,000 likes.

Thousands of people also took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person said: "The next person at the car wash is gonna be terrified of that stain."

A second wrote: "CASUALLY takes a power washer to the head..."

Another replied: "Everyone worried about your hair. You have two great sons. They stopped what they were doing to help. Raised right."

A bemused viewer asked: "Kitchen sink was out of the question?"

"I just wanna know WHY? You left your home to wash your hair? Yo water off? Lie what happened," commented someone else.

A different user added: "This is smart as hell."
