A woman has given a "refreshing" response after a note was left on her car in the street.
After parking up by a post box in Upton, Wirral, the woman returned to find a handwritten message on a piece of paper.
People who read both the note and the woman's apology have said they thought it was nice to see people interacting positively with one another and "taking responsibility".

The note read: "Please be kind enough to avoid parking on the pavement or by a post box, disabled find it difficulties in accessing letter box.
"Thank you for understanding."
The woman posted a picture of the note and said: "To the person who left this on my car which was parked in Kirkway, I’m so so sorry that I caused you upset! It was never my intention!
"I used to park outside my house but between getting my wing mirror smashed and my dad getting his car keyed/scratched when he parked out front I found it safer to park in Kirkway.
"I’ve parked past the post box today. Again please accept my apologies."
People said how refreshing it was to see someone take responsibility and apologise.
One said: "How refreshing of you to own up to your mistake and not post a rant on here.
"I would have been like you and not thought of how I had parked so you have helped us all today."
Another said: "So nice to see a polite note and a very understanding reply."
While a third added: "Very polite notices. Well put."
