Woman rushed to hospital following 30ft cliff fall in Sutton, North Dublin

A heroic rescue team airlifted a woman from the side of a cliff after she fell 30ft in North Dublin.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Sutton on Sunday where the woman fell from a track at the top of the cliff.

The Howth Coast Guard responded quickly and the woman was given first aid at the scene before being airlifted out.

She was then taken to hospital where her condition is not yet known.

The Coast Guard said: "At 16:06 today Howth Coast Guard was tasked to a person that had fallen from the cliffs in Sutton.

"The casualty was quickly located and first aid administered.

"The faller was packaged and then extracted for transport to hospital by Rescue 116."
