Woman rescued from waterfalls at Loch Lomond sparking emergency response

A WOMAN has been rescued from the waterfalls at Loch Lomond, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.

Police Scotland received a report of concern for a person in the water near Luss at around 7.45pm on Monday, July 15.

A coordinated response was launched, involving the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The woman was located and subsequently taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for assessment.

Her current condition has not yet been confirmed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, we received a report of concern for a person in the water in the area of Luss, Loch Lomond.

“Emergency services attended, and the woman was traced.

“The woman was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for assessment.”

The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat, the Scottish Fire Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
