What would you do if you saw a message on your computer from your spouse's ex?
Some might confront their other half, while others would choose to ignore it completely, feeling it's none of their business.
But one woman has admitted she took drastic action after spotting an email on the computer she shares with her husband.
While working on the computer, a notification popped up on the screen featuring the ex's name and she claims she couldn't stop herself from taking a look at it.
However, she soon regretted opening it, when she read what the other woman had to say to her man.
Writing in a letter to Slate.com's Dear Prudence agony aunt column, the wife explained all, describing the ex as "sparkly", "beautiful" and "outgoing".

She said: "As much as I know he loves me, our 4-year-old daughter, and the baby we just found out I’m pregnant with, I’ve always felt insecure about how he still seems to put his ex on a pedestal and agonizes occasionally over losing her.
"Unable to control my curiosity, I skimmed the long message she’d sent him, wherein she apologized for how she treated him.
"She said he was the only truly good man she’d ever known, and despite knowing he was already married and a father, she wanted to give their relationship a second chance."
The woman went on to share how without even thinking, she sent a response from her husband, letting the ex know he was very happy with his wife and not to contact him again.
She deleted the original message and the one she sent so her husband wouldn't find out - but now feels very guilty.
The unnamed woman asked for some advice on whether or not to tell her partner about it as she's worried it could "cost her everything".
R. Eric Thomas replied to the letter as Dear Prudence, comparing it to Julia Roberts’ character’s consequential email in the anti-rom-com My Best Friend’s Wedding.
They went on to share how the woman must have some fear about her husband being "tempted" by the other woman and that's why she instantly replied to the email.
They suggested it showed insecurity in the relationship - something that could only be resolved by having an honest and open conversation with her husband.
