A dog owner has been left utterly horrified after discovering her pet sitter invited his date over to her house and secretly slept with the woman in the owner's bed. She only stumbled across the truth when she came across the evidence - an open vibrator box left behind in her bedroom.
Taking to Reddit, the woman explained how she needed somebody to watch her elderly pet dog when she was called away on a last-minute trip. She wrote: "I scheduled overnights with someone I have used multiple times before and is very well aware of my elderly dog's needs."
She was under the impression everything was going "perfectly fine" and her dog was being taken care of until her brother stopped by her house to collect something.
"The sitter was supposed to be there but my brother informed me he was not," the woman added. "When confronted they claimed they left just for a second because they had forgotten something.
"To make matters worse, I just got home and there was an open vibrator box left behind in my bedroom that I can assure you is not mine.
"The sitter is male so this means he also brought a stranger into my home to do this with. He admitted he had a girl over so it was indeed not for him
"I’m horrified. Thank god they left evidence behind or I would’ve had no idea they were doing things like that in my bed."
Not only that but her dog's bed was covered in urine, making her question whether the dog sitter even bothered to check in with her pet throughout the entire weekend.
She said: "Not only am I disgusted, but I feel terrible that my dog was likely neglected while I was gone. What an absolute nightmare, I'm terrified to ever have to leave my dog alone again.
"If she had an accident and he mentioned it to me, I wouldn’t have been angry because she does have accidents sometimes especially when she sleeps.
"My issue is that he didn’t even notice her pee soaked bed and never mentioned a single word about it.
"He may have been using my house for his own personal reasons but he was clearly not caring for my dog in the meantime."
While most users shared their disgust towards the dog sitter, others called her to leave a complaint with her pet sitting service to try to "get him banned" from the site.
One user said: "This is terrible! I’m so sorry this happened to you! I would burn the bed!"
Another user added: "I’m so sorry that happened to you!! Now we know why some people have cameras. I hope you can find someone more responsible for the future."
A third user said: "As for never leaving your dog again, I would honestly share this experience with your next potential dog sitter.
"It will properly explain why you're nervous and their reaction will tell you a lot about them as a person and a sitter."
