Woman narrowly avoids running over workers as she crashes SUV through restaurant

Two workers had a lucky escape after a female driver crashed an SUV through the front of a café.

The woman, who is believed to be elderly, is thought to have stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal by mistake and lost control of the vehicle.

In dramatic CCTV footage of the incident in Rosario, Argentina, the car can be seen crashing into the building.

The restaurant was closed to the public at the time, but the car almost ran over two members of staff clearing up inside.

Video shows the vehicle smashing into tables and chairs and hitting a female employee before coming to a stop.
