POLICE are continuing efforts to trace a woman missing following a fire at a house in a coastal village.
Officers said she was inside the property in Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire, when the blaze broke out early on Thursday.
Four fire engines went to the scene in Seatown in the village when the alarm was raised just before 5am that day.
One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are carrying out a joint investigation and emergency services remain at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a fire in the Seatown area of Gardenstown around 5am on Thursday, 18 September, 2025.
"A woman who was within the building remains unaccounted for and efforts are ongoing to locate her. One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"Emergency services remain in attendance and a joint investigation is being carried out with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service."
