If we've learnt anything from The Great British Bake Off over the years, it's that making a showstopper cake is hard.
One home baker, Siân Knight, recently discovered just how difficult it is when she attempted to make a Sonic the Hedgehog themed cake for her friend's birthday.
For those who don't know, Sonic is a video game character and he's blue in colour.
It's fair to say that the Sonic bake didn't turn out quite the way Siân had hoped.
However she didn't let that worry her, instead she decided to snap a few photos of the hilarious looking cake and share it in the Rate My Plate Group on Facebook , where members can be quite scathing with their comments.
And people did not hold back their thoughts on her efforts.
More than 2,000 people liked the post, with over 900 commenting on it and many couldn't help but think the cake looked rather rude.
One person compared poor Sonic to a man's genitalia.
They said: "Is.... is that a penis cake....? What is that? What is happening here?"
Another replied: "What is this monstrosity?"
Someone else compared it to a sex toy, writing: "It looks like a massive blue dildo."
A fourth posted this brutal comment: "That looks like an enlarged smurf penis what the actual f**k were you thinking....Do you actually have a picture of Sonic the HEDGEHOG for reference... If so you missed the mark by an eternity. Good effort tho better luck in the future."
A different user added: "I look more like Sonic than that cake."
Siân has since given the cake to her friend and says she was very grateful for it.
Speaking to Mirror Online, she said: "She has the cake. When I gave it to her she said she hasn't seen anything quite as beautiful and complimented the effort I put into the icing work.
"She congratulated me on my efforts and shook my hand."
