Woman in her fifties shot in targeted attack in Bradford

Roads surrounding a property in Bradford remain closed this morning (Monday) after a woman was shot last night.

The woman, in her fifties, was taken to hospital with suspected gunshot wounds after what police described as a suspected 'targeted attack'.

Armed officers responded to reports of a firearms discharge in Barkerend Road just before 11.30pm.

Road closures remain in place around the Killinghall Road area today (Monday) to allow for enquiries to continue and people are advised to find an alternative route. 

Enquiries suggest this was a targeted attack and extra patrols will be operating in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
