A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Netherton.
The emergency services were called out to Park Lane at around 10.35am today following reports that a woman was hit by a car.
The woman was taken to hospital with what police described as "serious injuries."

The driver of the car involved stopped at the scene.
Police closed Park Lane between the junctions with Bridle Road and Dunnings Bridge Road.
The incident caused delays and disruption in the area. Local business Goals Liverpool posted a message on social media which read: "Due to an accident Park Lane has been closed from both ends, If you are attending the site today we would recommend you park up and walk over to the small side gate."
A spokesperson for the force said: "Police are currently in attendance on Park Lane, Netherton, today (Saturday 7 August). At around 10.35am we received a report of a collision involving a car and a female pedestrian. Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries. Road closures are currently in place on Park Lane between the junction with Bridle Road and Dunnings Bridge Road while emergency services deal with the incident.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible."
